About
Lethargy formed in 2000 in Wales. Discovered by Geoff Barton at Classic Rock Magazine, the band were recommended to Derek Oliver (who signed Pantera and Dream Theater to ATCO Records) and subsequently signed to Powerage Records. The band toured the UK and appeared at festivals, releasing two albums that both appeared in Classic Rock Magazine's Top 50 Albums of the Year. Their self-released debut "Road Out Of Nowhere" was the first independent release ever to reach the Top 50.
Following the demise of Powerage Records, the band took an extended hiatus. In 2019, they returned with "After All This Has Gone" - an album recorded years earlier with producer Will Maya (The Answer) that had remained unreleased. In 2025, Lethargy re-issued "Purification" digitally - their second album, produced by David Prater (Dream Theater).

Press
"A band that bristles with attitude and intelligence, crammed full of stadium sized riffs that Pagey'd be proud of, married to lyrics as eloquent as Richey Manic's."
- Classic Rock Magazine
"Swirling guitar soundscapes give way to heavy grooves, rounded off with intense political and philosophical lyrics that actually have something to say. Grandiose in every sense of the word."
- Metal Hammer
